Project Plungers: Party Crash

Project Plungers: Party Crash
As part of the educational program, Project Plungers is a collaboration project between NHTV University of Applied Sciences and Ubisoft for in-house experimentation with Virtual Reality, in the form of a herding game using the Raving Rabbid’s IP. The players are tasked to get the Rabbids from point A to B while overcoming many obstacles. There is no plan for a commercial release, this is a student only project. As part of the learning experience the staff from Ubisoft have given the team valuable feedback from their field of expertise. See more

 

Project Dive

Project Dive
Project Dive is a virtual reality diving experience build for the HTC Vive. The environment is based on photogrammetry data collected by marine biologists. The experience is build within Unity 5. My team and I build the Alpha version of this game with 8 developers in approximately 14 days spread out over 14 weeks. The project is currently being further developed by Cradle, a research studio from NHTV. The current state of the project can be found here. See more

 

LacunaGE

LacunaGE
​Lacuna Game Engine (LacunaGE) is a game engine / framework that I am working on in my spare time. I currently am mainly focusing on the rendering engine (which has a Vulkan, DX12 and a GNM implementation). Physics will be handled by a third-party library like Bullet3D or PhysX. Audio will initially not have an implementation since I am planning on exploring audio programming. The latest version of this engine is unavailable thanks to the Playstation specific code. Hadron Game Engine
Hadron Game Engine is a continuation on the concepts that evolved into LacunaGE. Hadron takes all those concepts, implements new knowledge and totally rocks. Work in progress, unfortunately this project is now on the back burner due to my internships and graduation phase. See more

 

Tale of Two

Tale of Two
Tale of Two is a team project I worked one during the second year of my study. It is meant to be played by a parent and their child. In Tale of Two the parent plays a big monster, while the child plays as a small monster. The people in the nearby town are afraid of you, because you look like monsters. By helping the people in the town, playing the minigames, you gain their trust and you will slowly be accepted as their friends. The game is made in Unreal Engine 4. See more

 

Compile

Compile
Compile is the second interdisciplinary project I have worked on at IGAD. For this project I was chosen as the team lead. This project has been developed in 14 Days with a team of 11 people. We wanted to try to make the game feel like a mix between the Borderlands series and Mirror’s Edge. The project was quite fun and worked really well when it came together. I am still very proud of this team and this project and I would love to try remaking it now with the same team, 2 years later. See more
